Write a clear affiliate disclosure
Tell readers about commercial relationships in plain language before they encounter affiliate links.

A disclosure should be noticeable, understandable and close enough to the recommendation that readers see it before deciding whether to click. A hidden legal page is not a substitute for contextual disclosure.
Put this into practice
- Use plain language such as ‘I may earn a commission.’
- Place the disclosure before or near the first affiliate link.
- Repeat context when content may be viewed independently.
- Do not imply sponsorship or endorsement that does not exist.
- Keep a detailed site-wide disclosure page as supporting information.
Add one short disclosure to your article template and review every existing recommendation.
Start with a useful first version. Check what works, update what does not, and keep the experience clear for the person visiting your site.
